The veneer process usually requires two visits because the veneers will be fabricated at a dental laboratory. At the first appointment the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are given a temporary covering. In two to three weeks the veneers are back from the laboratory, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The laboratory-fabricated veneers are usually made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are very esthetic. Our doctors have vast experience in helping create attractive, natural looking results with veneers. Problems That Veneers Can Fix
- Wear: We use our teeth multiple times every day. As the years pile up, our teeth wear down. Old age increases the likeliness that teeth will chip, crack and generally appear more worn.
- Worn enamel: Sometimes our dietary habits leads to the discoloration and break down of enamel. Veneers can be a great solution to give teeth back their vibrancy.
- Uneven teeth: Whether it be from grinding the teeth together, or general wear and tear, sometimes our smiles aren’t as straight as we’d like them to be. Veneers can greatly coordinate a smile.
